Surely, it still is chasing after you. Slowly, but surely. Don't underestimate it. It's not normal, something is so very, very wrong with whatever this thing is. The party ran from this beast, and has since gained a huge distance from it. But something lingers, especially in Karsus that this beast will never relent in its chase. Eventually, it will catch up.
