Shopping with Gene

We arrived to the bazaar that Hornet's new friend, Generosity is based in. Fathom made me check a damaged scroll, but I didn't get much from it. Fathom offered a rabbit's foot in trade of it. I reached out for a ripped cloth with a symbol I didn't recognize.

I saw and felt flashes of color as I was taken through a war. A war where I was wearing this insignia, the sound of metal clashing on metal and flesh, blood and dirt splashing on my skin. I feel the emotional pain as my friends, my fellow soldiers are met with agony and perish. Afterword, I am in a temple. I hear a voice in my mind, but it didn't sound like it was coming from the vision. It calls to me, asking me to take a vow, an oath. If i will walk away. I felt the urge to answer, though what I would've answered escapes me. I buy the cloth and ask the others if they recognize the symbol. Ferryman gets a sense of familiarity but he said he doesn't know why. Fathom is able to figure out it is the insignia of the icon of trauma. Hornet expresses surprise that there is an icon of that, and I am a bit confused why it felt like they reached out to me specifically. Maybe because of what we just experienced..?

Ferryman bought a smoking pipe and Fathom asks me again to check something for him, this time a crystal knob. I felt the space around me start spinning and I felt like I was standing in front of a door, but this door could go anywhere. I felt different landscapes flash by, different rooms. I felt all of the places that people that had touched the door knob had been to. I hand it back to Fathom and he buys it.

Fathom spent the rest of our time trying to portion out enough to buy this fancy rifle. After that, Ferryman went to buy something relating to sleep and I bought some flowers and rocks. We finally get to rest. Today was so much. I really need the rest... Good night, journal.
